Today marks the announcement of the National Geographic Traveller photography competition shortlist, so, being a key part of the judging process, I thought I’d pin it up here. We’ve got the final rounds of judging to go, so I can’t give anything away just yet, but suffice to say I have a few of my own favourites!

The standard has been very high again this year, and despite 6 brand new categories, amateurs and professionals alike have entered in their droves, with some amazing entries.
